Monthly meeting of the City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Mayor Kay Hoheisel. Other members present were Council Members Jackie Zehowski and Pat Boser, Diane Schmidtz – Treasurer and Roberta Gross – Clerk. Ross Shoultz was absent.
Minutes of the last meeting were read. Motion by Jackie, 2nd by Pat to accept. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report: Checking account $96,133.75. Motion by Roberta, 2nd by Jackie to accept. Motion carried.
Motion by Pat, 2nd by Kay to pay monthly bills. Motion carried,

Buschwackers will do our lawn mowing, at last year’s prices: $45.00/hr. mowing, $25.00/hr trimming, & $25.00/hr maintenance. Motion carried.
Kay will remind Jannis Stuckmeyer to pay the garbage bills for her rental properties. Do we want to start charging late fees on garbage payments? This will be tabled until next month.
Clean-up day will be June 12th 8-10 a.m. at the ballpark. Flyers will be sent out about the middle of May.
Rayme Hoheisel was also at the meeting to get a building permit to build an addition to existing shop on east side no bigger than 100 x 84 feet. Motion by Roberta, 2nd by Pat to approve. Motion carried. Kay abstained from voting. Cost is $75.00.
Neil Meyer and Brittney Virnig also applied for a building permit to erect a concrete patio 33′ x 13′ x 10′ half circle and 4′ x 8′ wood steps. Motion by Jackie, 2nd by Kay to approve permit. Motion carried; cost will be $30.00.
